Joining forces with Shack15 to connect the best of the Nordics with the best of SF

Last year, we hosted Marc and Ben in the Nordics, and they challenged us to connect the best of the Nordics with the best of SF. Mesh San Francisco is the direct result.

On October 5th-6th, a group of 150 brilliant Nordic founders and investors, based in the Nordics and SF, will be welcomed by Ben Horowitz and over 20 top-tier American VCs for a tight program designed for us to connect properly. Welcome!

The programme

Mesh San Francisco is built on experiences, personal social settings, curated meetings and small doses of the best possible content.

  • We are kicking the event off on Sunday with a welcome dinner to connect all those based in SF with the ones flying in.

    Morning Run
    For the jetlagged and awake we start with a morning run from the Ferry Building at 6:30 AM.

    Everyone meets for breakfast at 8:00 AM @Shack15 - also acting as our basecamp & takeoff spot for the activities.

    From 9:00-12:00 AM we curate 3 groups who will ventures on 3 activities to truly explore and connect:

  • After surfing, swimming and exploring San Francisco on Monday, Ben Horowitz will welcome and host us at a16z’ offices for an unforgettable lunch.

    Meetings
    We have gathered 20 top tier American VCs, and 20 of the best investors from the Nordics so that you can effectively connect and meet up with your next investor(s).

    We will run a track in parallel to the stage program to allow meetings to happen and we will help facilitate valuable connections.

  • We are teaming up VCs and founders based in SF with co-hosted dinners in private homes and HQs.

    The mission is to create more intimate settings with curated groups  of people that are especially interesting to each other, and to get in the mood for the VC Bar Crawl and pub night in South Park.

  • South Park is the new Sand Hill Road, and on the 6th we are turning it into a bar area.

    In partnership with some of the top firms around the park we will invite for a Bar Crawl with 3-4 stops, before we all end up in the same place and finish off the evening in style!

  • The dates for Mesh San Francisco are not random as we connect to the Tech Week, by a16z.

    It is one of the most buzzing weeks in SF, with all kinds of great people flying in. So it is the optimal week for you to meet up with other key people in the area.

    We are also getting access to interesting closed event and dinners in the following days for our attendees, for those that want to stay on.
