Uniting the Nordics in SF

In October 2025, we brought together 150 founders and investors from the Nordics and the US - hosted alongside Ben Horowitz and more than 20 top-tier American VCs including a16z, Kleiner Perkins, Khosla, General Catalyst, NEA, and IVP.

​Now, we once again unite the people who are moving the Nordics forward and can help build a stronger Nordic presence in SF - benefitting founders and VCs across both sides of the Atlantic.

Join us for surfing, sauna sessions, VC bar crawls, founders' dinners, and much more on October 3-5, kicking off SF Tech Week.

  • Day 1 - Arrival

    We kick it all off on a bike ride followed by drinks in South Park with top-tier VCs, before ending the day together at Jax Vineyards’ with drinks, food and music. A social first day to meet and connect.

  • Day 2 - Connecting

    Surfing, sauna, cold plunges, and much more. The Day 2 programme is built to connect over shared experiences.

    We end in a welcome dinner at Shack15 hosted by top-tier US VCs.

  • Day 3 - The Sessions

    On Monday we are invited for intimate sessions at top tech companies of the valley before lunch at Andreessen Horowitz’s a16z HQ, and an afternoon session with additional top-tier US funds.

    We’ll end the programme with a dinner hosted by Nordic VCs (including a few surprises) before ending in a big Nordic afterparty with 500+ people at Shack15.

  • October 6th - 11th - Tech Week:

    Mesh San Francisco takes place just before SF Tech Week, giving participants the opportunity to join selected events, gatherings and ecosystem moments across the city.

Activities

  • A surf session with founders and investors at the legendary Traveler Surf Club in Pacifica. A chance to connect in true SF style.

  • A Nordic-meets-SF reset at Alchemy Springs, with sauna, cold plunge and time to slow down and connect between sessions in the sauna garden.

  • Cross the Golden Gate Bridge and hike the trails around Golden Gate National Recreation Area with founders and investors. A slower setting for real conversations outside the usual SF meeting rooms.

  • We kick off Mesh SF with a welcome ride along the Bay ahead of the South Park infamous VC bar crawl.

  • We’ll start the days with morning runs along the SF Bay Trail for the jetlagged who like to begin with fresh air, coffee by the waterfront and conversations before the city wakes up.

Social

  • On Saturday evening, we’ll gather @Jax for food, drinks and music. It’s a chance to shake off the jet-lag and get to know the group.

  • We gather the whole group for a lunch with Andreessen Horowitz at their a16z HQ in San Francisco.

  • Welcome dinner with top-tier US VCs @Shack15 on Sunday.

  • We’ll once again visit top-tier VCs in South Park as they host us for drinks in their HQ.

  • Dinner at Shack15 hosted by the Nordics VCs. Food, wine, and surprises.

  • After dinner on Monday, we’ll stay @SHACK15 to celebrate and close Mesh San Francisco 2026 on a high note before SF Tech Week begins. We expect around 500 people to join us for the party as Shack15 will be the place to be for the Nordic tech community in SF.

Content

We believe that shared experiences are the key to connect. Therefore, we always keep the programme activity-heavy and content-light with only a few highly curated sessions.

  • A short opening with Mesh Founder Anders Mjåset on why we have built Mesh Collective and how we operate to unite and elevate the Nordics.

  • Monday morning companies such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and NVIDIA (TBC) will invite us for exclusive roundtables and a look behind the scenes of the technology and people shaping the next era of tech and AI.

  • A curated session with leading Silicon Valley investors focused on what makes the Nordics unique and what they are looking for when (co-) investing in our region. Stay tuned for more.

Mesh San Francisco takes place right before SF Tech Week, bringing together founders, funds and companies from around the globe, making it the ideal moment to gather in SF. Attendees can keep the conversations going during Tech Week at private events across the Bay.
